MarsDrive Current Projects

The following projects are the most current that members of MarsDrive are working on. We are always looking for volunteers and contributors for these projects so if any area takes your interest or you feel you have the skills for a particular area, please let us know at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

MarsGravity BioSatellite:

We have raised an initial sum to place our logo on this spacecraft to be luanched in 2010 and are now looking to raise between $4000 and $8000 in the next 12 months towards this most important project. You can make a donation by hitting the Paypal button on our main page or help by joining as a Pioneer member.

MarsDrive Mission Design:

This project is lead by Ron Cordes and is progressing well through the various stages. We still require experts in areas like propulsion, life support and entry, descent, landing systems as well as genral researchers, writers and graphic artists. Ron will be presenting an initial update at the coming ISDC 2008 in Washington D.C at the end of May.

MarsDrive Paintball Challenge:

Coming soon MarsDrive will be involved in our first ever paintball tournament via sponsorship of the event. This will be a great opportunity to reach hundreds of new people on matters concerning Mars and space. We aim to also supply this event with several MarsDrive items such as T Shirts, hats, stickers and brochures. This is our first large scale direct public outreach in an environment where the audience is expecting to hear from us. We want to make a big impression here and need your donations to enable this. Jay Fullmer is the person in charge of this project and you can contact him via our This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it email.

The New Space Petition

Sign the new Petition for Inexpensive Space Access and spread it around to your friends. We aim to present this petition (when it has enough names listed) to both Private and Public sector leaders across the world to show them that we the people want access to space at a price we can all afford. Space should be for all people. Please help us make this a really big thing and spread the word!

Online Outreach:

MarsDrive now has a major presence on several internet sites like FaceBook, YouTube, MySpace Red Colony and Second Life with over 700 members now and well over 2000 people reached. We need artists, writers and anyone with some time to help reach out to others in this way. These projects are a major means of reaching new people and obviously the more professional we are and the quicker we can grow will benefit us all. Currently we are running a contest for the biggest recruiter on our FaceBook Cause with the prize of a Roving Mars DVD and $30 worth of music, books or DVD's of your own choice to be awarded at the end of this month and again at the end of May. Feel free to join in.

Pioneer Member Contest:

This contest is similar to our Facebook contest. We will award the first person who has referred us 15 Pioneer members prizes to the value of $300, including space collectors items, magazine subscriptions, DVD's, books and solar system maps. More detail will be announced on this soon.
